Access control systems of Vinares flats to be repaired this month

The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has stated that the access control systems installed in the Vinares flats will be repaired by August 11. HDC notes that the tenants can start using the systems within the next week.

An access control system typically includes locked gates or doors which can be opened using identity authentication methods such RFID access cards and pin codes to allow entry to a building or certain area. The access control systems in Vinares come with access tags that will be issued by the Housing Development Corporation. The tags will be issued by the management office at Vinares Tower 10. Each apartment will be issued five tags.

HDC states that the systems are designed to ensure the safety of tenants, and that action will be taken against those who damage the devices used to provide the service. The access control system was installed at Vinares Towers in June last year. However, the service was interrupted due to damage to the systems.
