The new High Commissioner of Maldives to Pakistan Mohamed Thoha has presented his Letter of Credence to the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari.
The Maldivian High Commissioner presented his Letter of Credence to the Pakistani President during a special ceremony held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad. Following the ceremony, High Commissioner Thoha sat with President Asif where he conveyed greetings and well wishes from Maldivian President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and the people of the Maldives to the President and the People of Pakistan.
Furthermore, High Commissioner Thoha reiterated his commitment to strengthening the long-standing brotherly relations between the two nations. He also expressed gratitude to the President for promptly accommodating the presentation of credentials. Congratulating Thoha on his appointment President Asif assured that his government will fully support the High Commissioner in fulfilling his responsibilities and duties.
High Commissioner Thoha was accompanied by Second Secretaries, Aishath Yasmeen, Ismail Mufeed and Defence Advisor to Pakistan, Colonel Idrees Badeeu of the High Commission of Maldives in Pakistan.
