Gov't assures presidential pledge to provide housing to resort employees will be fulfilled

Minister of Tourims Ibrahim Faisal has assured that the administration will be providing housing to resort employees before the end of its tenure, as promised by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. He made the remarks during a program of PSM News.

Noting that the pledge to provide accessible housing to resort employees is among the most important presidential pledges of President Muizzu, Faisal stated that the President will fulfil hi promise before the end of his five-year term. As such, he noted that work on this is currently ongoing. He also stated that he is closely monitoring the updates of this.

Faisal also noted the long-term employees of the Maldivian tourism sector, so far, have not had anyone advocating for their rights and added that the current administration will deliver its promises to the resort employees. He assured that the resort employees will be provided housing under the administration’s ongoing housing projects. Faisal also stated that providing housing to resort employees would be one of the most important services provided by the government, for resort employees.
