The Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) has appointed Mohamed Saeed as the managing director of the state media; Public Service Media (PSM). In a statement, PCB revealed that Mohamed Saeed was appointed as PSM's managing director as well as a member of the board of directors. He was appointed under the Privatisation & Corporatisation Act, following the resignation of the former Managing Director Zeena Zahir.
Mohamed Saeed has served the government in various roles since 1989. He contributed his services to the education sector, by serving the Ministry of Education as a permanent secretary and the director general as well. Aside from his role as a media officer, Saeed was also a member of significant governmental bodies and the board of directors of Aasandha Company Limited.
While Mohamed Saeed has earned a Master's degree in the field of business administration from the University of Bolton from the United Kingdom (UK), he also sought education in the field of media as well. As such, he successfully completed the Diploma in Advance Television Production and Direction Techniques Course from London, UK.
