First Lady Sajidha Mohamed has emphasised the importance of nationalism to resolve any issues faced by the residents. She made the remarks at the ceremony held to mark the inauguration of a cultural premise in the Maafushi Jail.

Speaking at the ceremony, First Lady Sajidha expressed concerns regarding the current generation's lack of creativity, critical thinking, and responsibility. The first lady shed light onto the rich culture of the Maldives, reflecting on an active and prosperous society. Therefore, she stressed the significance of reviving back the culture, and prioritising nationalism.

Moreover, First Lady Sajidha acknowledged the significance of the initiatives and policies implemented by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, noting their anticipated benefits. She elaborated on the Maldivian culture and heritage, underscoring the necessity of ensuring that children have an accurate understanding of these concepts.
