The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has extended the application deadline for pocket parking zones in Hulhumale’.
HDC initially applications to lease parking slots on September 17. As such, the corporation is leasing 1,374 parking slots across eight pocket parking zones in Hulhumale'. The slots will be available for a one-year lease at USD 129.7 per month. The original application period was set to close on October 1, but the corporation has now extended it to October 10.
HDC said that applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a Category B1 or C1 vehicle registered in the Greater Male' Region. The applicants must also be residents of the region. Priority will be given to vehicles registered in Hulhumale'. After that, parking slots will be allocated to vehicles registered in the Greater Male' Region, excluding Hulhumale'. The allocation priority is as follows: Hulhumale' residents living in the same zone as the parking application, other Hulhumale' residents, and lastly, residents of the Greater Male' Region.
The parking tenants will be selected through a lucky draw among applicants in each zone. The applications can be submitted at the HDC reception desk between 0900-1400hrs on official working days.
