Ministry of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development has announced that 11 students are set to depart for higher studies under scholarship opportunities provided by Türkiye. A special send-off ceremony was held prior to the departure of the students, and was graced by the Minister of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development Dr. Mariyam Mariya.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Dr. Mariya congratulated all the students who were awarded the scholarships and encouraged them to make the most of this opportunity, emphasising the importance of making the nation proud. The minister noted that this opportunity was a result of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. She further requested all students to uphold their Islamic values and principals when living in Türkiye and to always remember their nationality.
While a total of 14 scholarships were awarded, the ministry noted that 11 students have completed all necessary procedures, including the visa process, and are ready to leave. Among these students, seven will pursue Bachelor's degrees, and four will study for their Master's degrees.
