Fenaka Corporation Limited has introduced new emergency response regulations, launched in conjunction with the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction.
These regulations outline procedures for handling service disruptions caused by natural or other emergencies and specify the structure of response teams for such situations. As part of the "Thayyaaru" initiative, Fenaka provided theoretical training on emergency management to teams and employees across all branches. It marks a crucial step towards establishing the safety standards required for Fenaka buildings under Utility Regulatory Regulations. Several related activities are also planned for next year.
Fenaka announced plans to offer practical training to employees on emergency response and ensure that essential equipment is available in all branches. The company is currently in talks with the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) to provide hands-on training and aims to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the MNDF to continue these efforts into the next year.
Serving 151 islands across the Maldives, Fenaka is working to bring all its power plants and reverse osmosis (RO) plants up to utility safety standards while ensuring each branch is fully prepared for emergency situations.
