Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has expressed his heartfelt wishes for victory and good fortune for the people and the nation.
The Vice President shared these sentiments in a social media post on the occasion of Victory Day.
In his post, the Vice President prayed that Allah would preserve the Maldives as an independent Islamic nation forever. He also prayed for the protection of the Maldives and its people from various foreign threats, and for continuous victory and prosperity for the country.
Victory Day in the Maldives is observed on 3 November to commemorate the defeat of six traitors who collaborated with a foreign group. Nineteen Maldivians were martyred in the attack, including eight soldiers and eleven civilians.
