Maldivian seeks agents to launch flights to UK, Italy and Germany

Island Aviation Services Limited (IASL) has announced its search for General Passenger Sales Agents in the UK, Italy, and Germany as part of its plans to expand Maldivian’s international destinations.

The opportunity to represent Maldivian in these key European markets is open until December 5. The recruitment of agents marks a significant step in the airline’s preparations to launch flights to these countries.

Maldivian is set to introduce its Airbus A330-200 wide-body aircraft as part of its fleet expansion, fulfilling President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s presidential pledge. The first wide-body aircraft, which will have a capacity of 268 seats, is expected to arrive in Maldives next month, with services scheduled to commence early next year.

The new aircraft will support Maldivian’s efforts to tap into European markets while enhancing the Maldives’ tourism industry. The government anticipates that this development will stimulate economic activity, benefiting existing businesses and creating new opportunities.

Maldivian currently operates international flights to three cities in India and to Dhaka, Bangladesh. The addition of European routes represents a significant milestone for the airline as it works to expand its global footprint.

With the introduction of wide-body aircraft and new destinations, Maldivian aims to strengthen its position as a key player in the regional aviation sector while supporting the country’s economic growth and tourism goals.
