A team of Indian experts has arrived in the Maldives to assist in the investigation of the devastating fire that ravaged the Green Building on 12 December.
The fire originated at Ministry of Housing, Land and Urban Development before spreading to the neighboring Ministry of Construction and Infrastructure, eventually reaching the Green Building.
Commissioner of Police Ali Shujau confirmed that the team is already working alongside the Maldives Police Service (MPS) to investigate the fire.
The police had earlier stated that the authority would conduct a thorough investigation into the fire, expressing confidence that collaboration with the foreign investigative team would help determine the origin of the fire. Authorities have asked to share relevant information regarding the fire with the authority.
