Fenaka’s New Managing Director Meets Energy Minister

The newly appointed Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation Limited, Major (Retd) Mohamed Najah on Monday met with the Minister of Climate Change, Environment and Energy (MCCEE), Thoriq Ibrahim.

During the meeting they discussed ways to enhance Fenaka’s service delivery across the Maldives.

They also deliberated on how the ministry can support Fenaka’s ongoing efforts to improve its operations, the Ministry said.

Najah had also shared the company’s future plans with the Minister and received valuable input on collaborations with the Ministry.

Minister Thoriq, during the meeting had noted the crucial role played by Fenaka in providing utility services, especially in the Atolls.

Najah was appointed as the Managing Director of Fenaka on 23 December.

Najah replaced Muaz Mohamed Rasheed who had stepped down from the earlier on the same day.

In the letter to the President, Muaz said he was stepping down from his post with immediate effect, as he does not see a way to steer the company out of its present financial crisis with him at the helm.
