Parliament to Review New Cabinet appointees

Parliament on Wednesday forwarded President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom’s nominees to the Cabinet to its Committee on Government Oversight for review. 

President Yameen reshuffled the Cabinet and appointed new members on June 22. The nominations were submitted for Parliament approval today. The new appointments are;

Ahmed Zuhoor as the Minister of Home AffairsIruthisham Adam as the Minister of Youth and SportsAhmed Munawwar as the Minister of Finance and TreasuryAbdulla Nazim Ibrahim as the Minister of Health; and,Aminath Zeneesha Shaheed Zaki as the Minister of Gender and Family. The President however have yet to submit his nomination of Abdulla Jihad as the Vice President for Parliamentary endorsement.
