President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom on Wednesday met with the top five contestants of Public Service Media’s ‘Dhivehiraajeyge Emme Ali Gadha Thari’, programme.
The meeting was held at Mulee-aage and attended by the contestants; Ibrahim Mohamed, Abdulla Mufeed, Ibrahim Imaz, Adam Naseem and Abdulla Tholib in addition to the top management of PSM and the production team of the programme.
Speaking at the meeting, President Yameen expressed his interest and enthusiasm towards of the programme, and his future expectations for the programme. He also thanked the management and staff of PSM for the undertaking, and pledged the Government’s continued assistance and cooperation in delivering PSM’s Constitutional mandate and further enhancing services provided by PSM.
This is the fourth edition of the programme with each of the previous 3 winners earning MVR100,000 in prize money. This year’s edition also offers valuable prizes, including the prize money of half a million Rufiyaa and a full scholarship from Maldives Islamic University to the winner, and Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage tours to other finalists.
The programme is aimed at instilling love for the Holy Quran among the people.
