Public Service Media (PSM) has been named the official media partner of the first ever Guesthouse Maldives Conference to be held later this year. The Guesthouse Maldives Conference, organised by Maldives Getaways Pvt Ltd, is planned to be held on September 24.
The partnership agreement was signed by PSM Deputy Managing Director Aminath Shaayan Shahid and Business Development Director at Getaways Private Limited Dr. Hussein Sunny Umar, at a function held at the PSM Radio Building. The guesthouse industry is thriving across the country with over 300 guesthouses managed by private individuals and companies.
"The conference aims to provide a platform for local guesthouse businesses to meet with prospective business partners and promote their businesses, Sunny Umar said. He further said the conference will provide an opportunity to further promote the country’s guesthouse industry. Over 150 representatives from local guesthouses and international travel agents will participate in the conference, he added.
Speaking at the event, Shaayan expressed hope that this conference would further boost the country’s guesthouse industry. She also assured that the event will be promoted across all mediums.
