President Dr Mohamed Muizzu on Sunday replaced his representative on the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).
During a ceremony at the President’s Office, President Dr Muizzu appointed Yazmeed Mohamed as his representative on JSC.
Prior to Yazmeed’s appointment, the President officially dismissed Mohamed Sameer as his representative on JSC.
Yazmeed took the oath of office during the ceremony before his letter of appointment was presented by the President.
The JSC is composed of 10 members consisting of the Speaker of Parliament, representative judges from the Supreme Court, the High Court, and the lower courts, as well as representatives of the President and the Parliament. The commission also includes representatives of the President of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) and the Attorney General, as well as members representing attorneys and the public.
