Foreign Minister Meets Several Counterparts to Advance Bilateral Ties

Minister of Foreign Minister, Dr Abdulla Khaleel has met with several of his counterparts on the sidelines of the fourth edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

Minister Dr Khaleel is currently on an official visit to Türkiye today, on an invitation from his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, to attend the forum.

During the visit from 11-13 April, the Minister is meeting with his counterparts from friendly countries across the globe, at the sidelines of the Forum.

During the first of the four meetings on Saturday, Minister Dr Khaleel with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of The Gambia where the two ministers held productive discussions on strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries at multilateral fora.

The Minister then met with his counterpart from Angola, Tete Antonio with discussions focused on enhancing bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

During his meeting with Foreign Minister of Ghana, Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa, the two ministers discussed avenues to strengthen cooperation in climate resilience, sustainable tourism and trade between the two countries.

Minister Dr Khaleel’s last meeting on Saturday was with his Azerbaijan counterpart, Jeyhun Bayramov where they were focused on recent bilateral consultations and enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries.

On the sidelines of the forum, Minister Dr Khaleel had also met his Hungarian and Turkish counterparts on Friday.

As part of his visit, Minister Dr Khaleel had participated at a panel discussion titled “Geostrategic Dynamics in the Asia-Pacific”.
