Public Service Media (PSM) this week began preparations to mark this year’s Eid al-Adha in Fonadhoo Island, Laamu Atoll.
A management team of PSM visited the island, and held talks with the council. Fonadhoo was awarded as the host island of PSM’s Eid Festival, after PSM publicly opened for proposals to hold the festivities.
At the meeting, PSM and Fonadhoo Council discussed the activities which would be conducted as part of the festivities, in addition to PSM’s plan to provide coverage of the activities. Discussions were also held about the venues to hold the events.
Speaking to PSM News, Fonadhoo Council President Ahmed Riyaz described PSM’s Eid al-Adha Show as an opportunity to promote and showcase the cultural and traditional traits of Laamu Atoll.
During the visit, the PSM team also met with top officials of Government offices in Fonadhoo.
