Housing Minister Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on Sunday opened the Street Art Festival Exhibition.
The Street Art Festival, held at the National Art Gallery, commenced on July 9 as part of Independence Day celebrations, with the participation of local artists and two artists from Australia. The exhibition showcasing the artworks of the Street Art Festival will be showcased at the Art Gallery till July 25.

Speaking after inaugurating the exhibition, Housing Minister Dr. Mohamed Muizzu assured the Government’s commitment to facilitate opportunities for local artists.
He also spoke on the importance of holding activities targeting all walks of life, as part of the Independence Day celebrations, and on the significance of art, citing the English idiom “a picture is worth a thousand words”.

Home Minister Ahmed Zuhoor also spoke at the function, highlighting on the importance of art and the Government’s commitment to provide opportunities in the field.
