Maldives’ national airline, Maldivian is seeking agents to partner with as it looks to expand its recently launched wide-body operations to South Africa.
The airline operator, Island Aviation Services Limited (IAS) said it was looking for interested parties for the appointment of general passenger sales agent (GSA) in South Africa for A330-200 operation of Maldivian.
Interested parties that would like to register have been requested to send an expression of interest email along with the EOI Form before midnight on 4 July.
Maldivian has commenced operations to China in January with its newest acquisition, the wide-body Airbus A330-200.
The airline is currently operating to three cities in China, including Chengdu, Beijing and Shanghai.
The acquisition of the new Airbus fulfils an electoral commitment by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu to introduce two wide-body aircraft for Maldivian. The government has plans to acquire an additional wide-body aircraft and initiate flights to European destinations by October this year.
