Schools Invited to Register Students for National Quran Competition

Local schools have been invited to nominate students interested in participating in the 37th national Quran recitation competition.

The opportunity for schools to register students interested in participating in the competition is open from 13 July to 17 August. Registrations must be submitted through the government online platform ‘onegov’ portal, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs said.

The competition slated for 18 September is split into the category of recitation, the category of recitation by heart, hafiz category and the institutions and associations category.

The competition is open to local councils, schools and associations. The registration of institutions and associations preceded the registration of their representing individuals with the deadline expiring last month.

The National Quran Recitation Competition has been held by the government since 1981 and it is organised to encourage the love of reciting the Holy Quran in the hearts of individuals.
