A total of 12 ferry stops and six terminals developed under the Raajje Transport Link (RTL) ferry service have been handed over to their respective island councils.
The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) said it handed over 12 ferry stops and six ferry terminals to 18 councils between 14 May and 8 July this year. All of these facilities are located in the three northernmost atolls of the Maldives.
The ferry terminals were handed over to:

Meanwhile, ferry stops were handed over to:

MTCC said the ferry stops and terminals were constructed for the convenience of RTL ferry service customers. Passengers can use the facilities as waiting areas while they wait for their ferries.
The government offers the RTL service with high-speed ferries connecting islands within atolls as well as linking nearby atolls. The service is offered to passengers at a low cost.
