Master of Education in Assessment programme launched

Education Minister Dr. Aishath Shiham on Wednesday evening revealed plans to employ at least one teacher who has completed Master of Education in Assessment in every school across the country.

She made the announcement at a function held in Kalaafaanu School to award scholarships for the Master of Education in Assessment programme.

Dr. Aishath Shiham said the Ministry aims to build human resources required to implement the National Assessment of Learning Outcomes.

17 teachers were awarded scholarships at the function. Tuition fees for the programme are covered by the World Bank and the Ministry said it would also provide pay leaves for them for the duration of the programme.

The 18-month programme commenced in July, the Ministry added.
