MFOMPC Invites Fisheries Industry Stakeholders to Register for Enhanced Marketing, Promotion

The Maldives Fisheries and Ocean Resources Marketing and Promotion Corporation (MFOMPC) has issued a nationwide call for all fisheries and marine resources producers to register with the corporation.

This initiative aims to build a comprehensive national database crucial for elevating Maldivian marine products on both international and domestic markets.

MFOMPC, a 100 percent government-owned entity, is mandated with the vital task of advertising and promoting various fisheries products to increase their profitability and establish a strong market presence. To achieve this, the corporation plans to compile a detailed register encompassing a wide array of stakeholders, including fishermen, fish processors, fish exporters, aquaculture and mariculture operators, traders, cooperative societies, and associations. This robust database will serve as the foundation for targeted advertising and promotional campaigns.

Registration offers numerous benefits for industry participants. Those who register will become integral members of the National Fisheries Promotion Network, gaining access to vital international branding and marketing support. Additionally, it provides an invaluable opportunity to be a key stakeholder in shaping a strong vision for the future of Maldivian fisheries and ensures access to information regarding upcoming projects, activities, and opportunities within the sector.

Registration is open to all individuals and entities engaged in fisheries and marine product activities, requiring the completion of a special form to join this pivotal national endeavour.

The MFOMPC is also tasked with introducing a unique, distinct brand for Maldives' fisheries products, under which all registered products will be marketed and promoted globally.
