Maldives' Non-Resident High Commissioner presents credentials to the President of Mauritius

Non-Resident High Commissioner Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Maldives to the Republic of Mauritius, Masood Imad, presented his Letters of Credence to Dharambeer Gokhool, G.C.S.K., President of the Republic of Mauritius.

The letters were presented at a special ceremony at the State House in Port Louis in Mauritius.

Following the ceremony, High Commissioner Imad conveyed warm greetings and sincere felicitations from President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu to President Gokhool, as well as to the Government and the people of Mauritius.

High Commissioner Imad was accompanied to the ceremony by his spouse, Fathimath Faiga Mohamed, as well as Fathimath Ghina, Deputy High Commissioner of the High Commission of Maldives in Sri Lanka.

High Commissioner Imad is slated to pay a courtesy call on Hon. Dhananjay Ramful, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade of Mauritius. The meeting will provide an opportunity to exchange views on enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of tourism, people-to-people exchanges, and collaboration in multilateral platforms.

High Commissioner Masood Imad currently serves as the High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives to Sri Lanka and will concurrently serve as Non-Resident High Commissioner to the Republic of Mauritius, with residence in Colombo.
