ICOM holds workshop for Information Officers

Information Commissioner’s Office (ICOM) on Tuesday held a training workshop for information officers.

ICOM said the main purpose of the workshop was to raise awareness on the Rights to Information Act and close all doors leading to corruption.

After presenting certificates to the participants who completed the workshop, Information Commissioner Abdul Azeez Jamal Aboobakuru called on information officers to be active in providing the necessary information to the public.

Information officers from 50 government offices in Malé attended the workshop held at the Orchid Maalam of Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
