Non-resident Ambassador of Bhutan, Sonam Tobden Rabgye on Tuesday presented his Letter of Credence to President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
At the ceremony held Tuesday morning at the President’s Office, the President congratulated Ambassador Rabgye on the commencement of his term and welcomed the Ambassador to the Maldives.
During the meeting, the President conveyed his appreciation to the Government of Bhutan for the active role it has continued to play in promoting regional cooperation. Furthermore, the President also mentioned that the Maldives and Bhutan share common views and interests at the international fora and expressed his confidence in the cordial relations between the two countries and discussed on exploring new avenues of further cooperation.
