The number of cases decided by the Civil Court increased by 23 percent compared to 2024, according to official statistics.
The Civil Court is a superior court established under the Judicature Act (2010) and has first-instance jurisdiction over all civil cases except family matters.
During the last year, a total of 5,680 cases were registered in the Civil Court, up from 5,142 in 2024, an increase of 10.46 percent. The court decided 6,718 cases in 2025, compared to 5,432 in 2024.
In 2025, the number of procedural and jurisdictional decisions fell slightly, from 135 in 2024 to 126 in 2025. Meanwhile, the number decisions of interim and other court orders rose from 103 in 2024 to 166 in 2025.
