Foreign Minister meets Commonwealth Secretary General

Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohamed Asim has called on the Commonwealth Secretary General Patricia Scotland.

At the meeting held at the Commonwealth Secretariat on Tuesday, Minister Asim discussed with the Secretary General on ways to further strengthen engagement and collaboration with the Commonwealth. The Minister also thanked the Secretary General for the assistance provided by the Commonwealth in strengthening institutions and the governance sector in the Maldives.

The Foreign Minister was accompanied by Non-resident High Commissioner of the Maldives to the United Kingdom Ahmed Shiaan, and Assistant Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Shiuneen Rasheed.
