A second Maldivian Hajj pilgrim passed away on Wednesday in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
The deceased has been identified as 51-year-old Jameela Mohamed from Hulhuduhfaaru Island in Raa Atoll.
Officials from the Maldives Hajj Mission said Jameela Mohamed, who had been treated in the Intensive Care Unit of King Faisal Hospital since September 5th, died early Wednesday morning.
She booked her journey through Acro Private Limited Hajj Group.
Funeral prayer for Jameela Mohamed was held at Makkah’s Grand Mosque, Masjid al-Haram after Asr prayer today.
70-year-old Abdullah Nasir from Fuvahmulah Island, who passed away on Monday night, was the first Maldivian that died during this Hajj season.
