President appoints Rifath Abdulla to ECM

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Rifath Abdulla as a member of the Elections Commission of Maldives.

Uz Rifath Abdulla took the oath of office and signed the declaration of membership at a ceremony held at the President’s Office. The oath was administered by Justice Mohamed Saleem of the Supreme Court of the Maldives.

Following the administration of the oath, President Muizzu formally presented the letter of appointment.

The appointment was made in accordance with Article 167(a) and Article 168(b) of the Constitution of the Republic of Maldives, and Article 4(a) of Law No. 8/2008, the Elections Commission Act.
