Four new members appointed to VMC board

Four new members have been appointed to the board of Visit Maldives Corporation Limited (VMC).

VMC is a state-owned enterprise mandated to promote the Maldives as a tourist destination worldwide. Its board comprises nine members. The board is chaired by Abdulla Ghiyas Riyaz, and the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is Ibrahim Shiury. Other members include Maha Naseer and Aminath Vulau Mohamed.

The appointments follow the removal of three previous members. The new appointees include three women and one man. The new members are Hudha Faheem, Aishath Mal’ha, Aishath Ali and Ali Shinan. They replace Abdul Sameeu Imad, Aishath Hameed and Sabeeha Ahmed.
