The Civil Court on Tuesday said it had concluded all but three cases pending for more than 8 months.
The court described it as the biggest feat ever accomplished since its establishment.
According to statistics released by the court, it also achieved the set target for the third quarter of 2016.
Statistics showed the number of cases that had lingered in the court for over a year slashed from 191 to just 3.
According to the court, there were 1243 pending cases by the end of 2015, and the number has now been lowered to 851.
2086 cases were filed with the court by August 2016, while 2478 cases were concluded during the period.
The court attributed its improved performance to the steps taken by the Supreme Court to expedite long-pending cases.
