SME Digital has unveiled a comprehensive awareness campaign dubbed "SME 360 (Three Sixty)."
The initiative was officially launched at the ongoing Addu Business Dialogue in Hithadhoo, Addu City, signaling the institution’s renewed commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and established businesses alike across the island nation.
The campaign was inaugurated by the Minister of Economic Development, Transport and Trade, Mohamed Saeed with SME Digital Managing Director Badruddeen Hassan and Chairman Mohamed Shareef lending their presence to the milestone event. The launch marks a pivotal moment in SME Digital's mission to position itself as a dedicated financing partner for small and medium enterprises throughout the Maldives.
Speaking exclusively to PSM News following the campaign unveiling, Badruddeen outlined the strategic objectives behind SME 360. He explained that the campaign represents a multi-faceted approach to public engagement, designed to illuminate the full spectrum of services and support mechanisms that SME Digital offers to the business community.
The SME 360 campaign encompasses several key components that collectively aim to educate and assist both aspiring and existing business owners. According to Badruddeen, the campaign will feature detailed information about the various financial solutions available through SME Digital, helping businesses identify the schemes best suited to their specific needs and growth trajectories. In keeping with this objective, SME Digital has announced plans to conduct dedicated awareness sessions in Addu City, providing direct engagement opportunities for local businesses and the broader public to learn about available support frameworks.
Beyond informational outreach, the campaign will leverage digital platforms to amplify its reach and impact. Badruddeen revealed that SME 360 will include a podcast series specifically designed to share the experiences, challenges, and successes of small and medium enterprises across the Maldives. The institution has also planned various programmes across social media platforms to disseminate information, engage with the community, and foster a vibrant network of SME stakeholders.
"We want to be a financing partner for small and medium enterprises in addition to what we can do next. It is meant to show that we are their partner at every stage of their business,” he said.
The launch of SME 360 comes at a time when SME Digital has already established a substantial presence across the Maldives, having served more than 4,000 customers to date.
