The children’s festivals organised by the security forces and state-owned companies on the occasion of Eid al-Adha have concluded.
Maldives Police Service (MPS) and Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) held children’s activities in the Republic Square and Sultan Park area in Male’, with several stalls offering a variety of games, entertainment and gift distribution.
At the Central Park in Hulhumale’ Phase 1, stalls were set up by MPS, MNDF, Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO), Public Service Media (PSM), Housing Development Corporation (HDC), State Electric Company Limited (STELCO), Maldives Ports Limited (MPL), Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC).
Activities in Hiyaa Park in Phase II were organised by MPS, MNDF and WAMCO.
Children who attended the events said they enjoyed the games and were happy with the gifts, while parents welcomed the initiative and said the events provided enjoyable family time during Eid.
The activities especially aimed to entertain children who remained in the city during Eid or travelled to the capital for various reasons.
