President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has expressed condolences on the death of Ahmed Moosa, of Athirige’, Nilandhoo.
In a social media post, the President praised Ahmed Moosa’s service to Nilandhoo as the island chief and described his trustworthiness, kindness, skills, diligence, and strong character as an example for the Maldives.
The President highlighted Ahmed Moosa’s pride in having many educated children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who serve the nation. He said the passing of Ahmed Moosa at the age of 100 was a matter of great personal sadness, and concluded the post by praying for Allah’s mercy, forgiveness, and blessings upon the deceased.
Ahmed Moosa was a recipient of the National Public Service Award in the field of agriculture in 1992.
