Public enthusiasm was high for the children's fair organised by Public Service Media (PSM) in connection with the ongoing FIFA World Cup.
The event took place in the TVM building.
The World Cup-themed children's fair was organised to give as many children as possible the opportunity to experience the excitement and atmosphere of the FIFA World Cup in a fun and engaging environment.
A total of 19 stalls were set up at the fair. Each stall featured games and activities designed to appeal to children.
The event was carefully organised to cater to children of different age groups, allowing them to participate in a variety of games and win prizes. It was designed as an enjoyable evening where children could take part in activities and receive rewards.
Several children who participated in the various activities shared their thoughts with PSM News.
“I came here with my dad and played the games. I was really happy when I won a prize. I’d love to take part in all the other games too,” said one child.
“I really enjoyed the football game. It was great fun playing together with my friends,” another child said.
The FIFA World Cup being hosted this time by the United States, Mexico and Canada is expected to be the most competitive, most widely contested and most exciting World Cup ever, featuring the highest number of participating nations.
For viewers in the Maldives, all World Cup matches will be available exclusively on PSM’s licensed channels for World Cup coverage.
PSM has also launched a dedicated website for Maldivian audiences, providing information about all the teams and players competing in the FIFA World Cup.
