Ooredoo Maldives recorded a net profit of USD 11.15 million in the second quarter of this year, representing a 3.9 per cent decline from the preceding quarter, the company’s financial statements showed. The net profit of USD 11.15 million, registered specifically for the second quarter of 2026, also reflects a year-over-year contraction from the USD 11.61 million earned during the corresponding period last year, newly released corporate financial disclosures revealed.
Total revenue for the quarter slipped to USD 34.76 million, down from the USD 35.47 million generated in the opening quarter of the year. Earnings before taxes followed a similar downward trajectory, falling to USD 13.16 million from the USD 13.62 million recorded in the previous period, company records established.
The organisation’s core operational framework generates revenue from two primary business segments, comprising mobile services alongside a division for fixed line, broadband internet, and enterprise businesses. Mobile services generated USD 24.64 million during the second quarter, marking a decline from the USD 25.55 million brought in during the first quarter.
Despite the contraction in mobile revenue, the fixed broadband business demonstrated steady and notable positive momentum. Fixed broadband services brought in USD 10.05 million in the second quarter, representing a 2 per cent increase over the USD 9.86 million recorded in the first quarter, according to the company’s comprehensive quarterly financial report.
