Housing applicants graded digitally to prevent external influence

All work to grade applicants for the government’s housing scheme is being conducted through a digitalised system designed to prevent external influence, Ahmed Nazim Mohamed, the Minister of State for Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development, said.

Speaking on PSM News’s 'Raajje Miadhu' programme, State Minister Nazim underscored that every stage of recipient selection and verification is managed through an automated database and online portal. In line with the administration’s 'Housing for All' policy to guarantee housing for those in greatest need, authorities compiled records from state agencies concerning housing, land, property ownership, education, and employment. The digital framework systematically logs all portal activity, enabling officials to investigate any suspicious activity immediately.

"The entire process is a fully digitalised system," State Minister Nazim explained. "Every action and every piece of information will be locked. It will be known who carried out that work. This housing scheme will be the most open and transparent scheme conducted by the government to date."

The Housing Portal serves as the exclusive channel for all official notifications and verification updates. Following the close of the application window for the inaugural scheme, officials are validating submitted information, aiming to complete the verification process by December and publish the final list of land and flat recipients before the end of that month.
