MPAO publishes names of non-compliant employers

Maldives Pension Administration Office (MPAO) said on Sunday that over 500 employers were in breach of the Maldives Pension Act and relevant regulations.

The pension office has now publicised the names of 550 non-compliant employers as of Thursday.  

The pension office said it would take necessary action against non-compliant employers in accordance with the Pension Act and relevant regulations.

The penalties for non-compliance include imposition of monetary fines, legal action, and revocation of licenses.

MPAO said it had recovered millions of Rufiyaa through legal action against a number of employers who had arrears of unpaid contributions.
