MNDF receives portable hyperbaric transport unit for diving emergencies

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has received a portable hyperbaric transport unit from Hyperbarics Europe.

The unit was formally received at the Integrated Headquarters by Chief of Defence Force Major General Ibrahim Hilmy. MNDF expressed gratitude to Hyperbarics Europe for the generous assistance.

The portable hyperbaric transport unit serves as a portable pressure chamber to keep divers and other patients stable while being transported during diving-related emergencies. Such equipment is particularly important for an island nation such as the Maldives that has a large maritime area, in responding to security and emergency operations.
