The Maldives and Türkiye have discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in tourism, trade and cultural exchange during talks between President Mohamed Muizzu and a delegation from Türkiye’s ruling Adalet ve Kalkınma Partisi (AK Party).
The delegation, led by AK Party Deputy Chairman Hüseyin Yayman, met President Muizzu at his official residence, Mulee’aage.
The discussions focused on strengthening the longstanding relationship between the two countries, with tourism and trade cooperation featuring prominently in the talks. The sides also discussed opportunities for greater cultural exchange between the Maldives and Türkiye.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening relations between the two countries and expanding cooperation across areas of mutual interest.
