President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has sent a message of condolence to Nepal’s Prime Minister Balendra Shah following floods and landslides triggered by heavy rainfall in the country.
President Muizzu expressed concern over the loss of lives and hardships caused by the disaster.
On behalf of the Government and people of the Maldives, he extended condolences to the families of those who lost their lives, people whose loved ones remain missing and communities affected by the disaster.
He also wished a swift recovery to those injured and success in ongoing relief and recovery efforts.
In a post on his official X account, President Muizzu expressed solidarity with the people of Nepal and wished safety and strength to all those affected.
