Public Service Media, PSM has announced that the second season of Maldivian Idol will premiere on January 27. The promo of the show was unveiled at the Maldives at Sunny Side Music Festival held at Alimas Carnival Saturday night.
Maldivian Idol, the country's first franchise of an international reality TV show, provides local artists a platform to showcase their talent. Auditions for the new season were held in Male' City, Addu City, Fuvahmulah City, Gan of Laamu Atoll, Eydhafushi of Baa Atoll, and Kulhudufushi of Haa Dhaalu Atoll.
Maldivian Idol season two will be judged by Mariyam Unoosha and Ibrahim Zaid Ali, who were also on the judging panel in the first season, and famed musician Ismail Affan. Singer Aminath Lamha Latheef will join Moosa Waseem, who also hosted the first season, as his co-host.
