Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Male' Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) to establish road crossings for Phase II Stage I road project and for the provision of water and sewer services in Phase II.
The MoU was signed by Managing Director of HDC Mohamed Saiman and Managing Director of MWSC Fazul Rasheed at a ceremony held at HDC head office on Monday.
Under the MoU, MWSC will provide materials, supervision and design details for the road crossings of MWSC service lines that fall into the ongoing Phase II Stage I road project, HDC said in press statement. In addition, MWSC will facilitate complete water and sewer services in Phase II through installation of water and sewerage networks. Meanwhile, HDC will assist and facilitate in the assessment work and cooperate with MWSC for smooth collaboration at all stages of the project.
The US$25 million project is expected to be completed by September 2018, according to HDC.
MWSC is also contracted the project to develop the road crossing for the road development project of Hulhumale' second phase.
