The Maldives has participated in OneWorld Travel Mart 2017 held in Mumbai, India.
The Maldives was represented at the exhibition by Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) along with 15 co-exhibitors from the tourism industry. OTM, one of the major platforms to focus on outbound tourism in India, was held in the largest travel market of India, Mumbai, at the Bombay Convention Centre from February 21 to 23.
This year the exhibition was visited by more than 12,000 travel trade visitors from all over India and abroad, according to the organiser.
According to MMPRC, India continues to be the fifth largest tourist market for the Maldives, with an annual growth percentage of 5.2% at the end of 2016.
