The King of Saudi Arabia to arrive in Maldives on 18th March

The King of Saudi Arabia and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is scheduled to arrive in Maldives on 18th March, according to the Maldivian government.

King Salman arrived in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, today for a three-day visit, which is part of a month-long Asia tour that is seen as building investment and security ties with countries that are some of the biggest customers for the kingdom's oil. This is the king's first trip to Japan since assuming the Saudi crown two years ago, signaling the country is looking for new investment opportunities outside the turmoil in the Arab world.

After Japan, the king will travel to Beijing, the capital of China, having completed visits to Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei. The last leg of the King's Asia tour will conclude in Maldives, after which the King will participate in the Arab summit to be hosted in Jordan between March 23 and 29.
