Maldives has participated in the Seafood Expo Global 2017, the world's largest seafood trade fair.
A delegation from Maldives is participating in the event, aimed at promoting fisheries products produced by the country. The delegation includes members from fisheries promotion board and 9 local fisheries companies. The Ambassador-designate of Maldives to the Kingdom of Belgium and to the European Union, Ahmed Shiaan visited the Maldivian stand at the seafood expo.
