Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has signed agreements with Huravalhi Beach Resort Investment and Sony Hardware to develop two shopping complexes in Hulhumale'.
Sonee Hardware has been contracted to develop a six-storey shopping complex near Rehendhi School in Hulhumale'. This shopping complex would be specialized for hardware goods.

Huravalhi Beach Resort Investment has been contracted to develop a shopping complex on the north of the Hulhumale' Ferry Terminal. This multiplex would have changing rooms, a prayer area and banking services in addition to free Wi-Fi internet.
Both projects are scheduled to be completed by mid-2018.
