Pakistan contributes 15 laptops to Maldivian schools

The Embassy of Pakistan in Maldives has contributed 15 laptops to schools in Male' City and Addu City. The 15 laptops were contributed as part of the "Jinnah Laptop Scheme", which is carried out in the honour of the first Governor-General of Pakistan Muhammed Ali Jinnah.

A ceremony was held at Ministry of Education to hand over the laptops by Pakistani Embassy in Maldives to the education sector. The laptops were handed over to the Education Minister Dr. Aishath Shiham by Ambassador of Pakistan to Maldives Syed Khawar Ali Shah.

The donated laptops will be distributed amongst schools in Male' City and Addu City and the laptops will be gifted to top achievers in the schools, according to the Education Ministry. Speaking at the function, Education Minister thanked the Pakistan government for the generous contribution to the education sector. She highlighted on the close relations between Pakistan and Maldives.
